Pakistan: Quetta girls toughen up with martial arts after series of attacks
Over 300 Pakistani female students from almost 16 universities showed off their martial arts skills at the Pakistan Inter University Martial Arts Championship in Quetta in the Pakistani state of Balochistan, Friday. The competition was the first of its kind ever held at a national level in Pakistan.

SOT, Anam Gul, Gold medalist and history student (Urdu): “The situation is not the best, but this is not a reason to stay at home scared. These things will keep happening, but the game must go on.”

SOT, Zakya, Student from SBK university (Urdu): “More events like this should be organised, it would help families to keep their children safe, so they can send them forward in life.”
